Over the weekend, Parkes Harness Racing Club found out about the passing of 2 supporters of harness racing industry -- Bob Harris and Dorothy Hando. The club wishes to extend our condolences to both families.
Bob, aged 75 years old, was a long term, hard working Parkes Harness committee man. He was also a breeder and owner of a number of horses.Funeral details have not been finalized yet. We will post the details once we have them.
Dorothy Hando is the wife of the late Eric Hando with whom she ran the highly
successful Rosewood Stud, just north of Peak Hill.Their legacy to Harness Racing will be with us for a long time.She is survived by her children Graeme & Denise and was a much loved grandmother and great grandmother to their children. Parkes Harness Racing Club send its sincere condolences to the Hando family at this sad time. Funeral arrangements will be announced at a later date.
