Parkes Harness RACING CLUB would be conducting a race meeting this 24th JULY, Sunday. Gate Opens 12nn, and the first race begins 1:22pm.
Race 1: NSW Standardbred Owners Association (NSWSOA) 2YO Pace. Race 2: Parkes Farm Centre 2- and 3-YO Pace. Race 3: Michael Wayne Teale Pace. Race 4: Parkes Furniture One Pace. Race 5: Sue Townsend Ladyship Pace. Race 6: Telescope Tyres & Batteries Pace. Race 7: Parkes Leagues Club Pace. Race 8: Garrard's Horse & Hound Series Pace.
The Parkes Harness Racing Club will be holding an eight event program this Sunday afternoon when harness racing continues at the Parkes paceway.
The day’s racing commences at 1.22pm with the NSWSOA 2yo Pace. Always Rockin is resuming from a let up and he should break through for his maiden win.
He was placed at his first three starts before finishing eighth in the very strong Bathurst Gold Crown Final and his trainer Glenn Wilmot is sure to have him ready for this assignment.
Dangers look to be Tommy Parker and Iridium Castle.
The Parkes Farm Centre 2yo & 3yo Pace will be race two.
Little Bit Dusty to be driven by David Harris won at his second start at Dubbo last Sunday.
After running a good race at his first start he backed it up with a strong win.
Folk Art finished second at her first start for the Nathan Turnbull stable at Dubbo last Sunday and she should be improved by that run.
Bradness Eldefurgo is a 2yo taking on older horses here but he has been very honest this season including a win two starts ago before running second at Parkes two weeks ago.
Max Is Back has drawn well in the Michael Wayne Teale Pace and he can return to the winners list here.
Trained locally by David Harris he should appreciate the good draw in this race.
As Lowas They Come has draw to follow Max Is Back and he did run a good second at Dubbo last Sunday he looks the main danger.
The Matrix and Glenburn Anna should also figure in the finish.
The Parkes Furniture One Pace has drawn together an even field.
Sunscreen raced without cover last Sunday at Dubbo and he held on well to finish second, a repeat of that run will make him hard to beat.
Im Captain Morgan hasn`t drawn well in barrier eleven but he cannot be dismissed after being placed at his four starts since resuming from a spell.
Grinorama was a winner at Dubbo last Sunday and he is sure to run well again.
Race five is the Sue Townsend Ladyship Pace.
In a race with many chances, luck in running will play an important role.
Locally trained mares Michaela Jay, Mod Cons and Abercrombie Emma all have winning chances on recent form.
Perfectdistraction and Think It Through also have winning chances.
Telescope Tyres Pace looks to have many chances also.
Jumping Jack Jimmy has been very honest all season and drawing barrier one will only enhance his chances.
After winning three starts ago he has run second at his next two starts. Both wins followed him doing a lot of work in both runs.
He looks like leading in this race and will give the others something to catch.
Dangers look to be Mossdale Bill who was a strong winner at Parkes before running a good race at Dubbo last Sunday.
His A Tease and Tulhurst Stacey are both last start winners and cannot be left out of calculations.
Race seven The Parkes Leagues Club Pace and the top pick here is the Terry Powter trained Go Scotty.
He was a very good winner at his last start at Parkes and he seems to be well graded in this race.
Boyzinblue and Cullectomatic are racing consistently without winning and they should be right in the finish.
Haka Shannon is resuming from a spell and if he is fully fit he too can test the opposition.
Racing concludes with the Garrards Ironhorse Series Pace for the faster class pacers.
Kapow Shannon will be driven by leading reinsman Mat Rue.
He has drawn gate two, that combination will make him hard to beat.
He has looked good winning at his last two starts after leading all the way.
He should again be able to lead and make it three in a row. Smart Major is racing well and was a winner last Sunday at Dubbo.
Lexus On The Beach is dropping back from racing in strong fields at Menangle and he is always a real danger in a race like this one.
